Voltage goes to 'Tape'

Worldwide sales rights to horror pic acquired

Nicolas Chartier's Voltage Pictures has picked up worldwide sales rights for horror pic "Sx_Tape," which he will shop to buyers this week along the Croisette.

Pic, which toplines Caitlyn Folley ("The FP," "Fault Line") and Diana Garcia ("What Maisie Knew"), is produced by "Paranormal Activity" and "The Devil Inside" producer Steven Schneider, whose microbudget pics have all grossed more than $100 million.

Pic is helmed by Bernard Rose ("Candyman," "Immortal Beloved") and is in post-production.

Story follows a young couple as they attempt to spice up their relationship by recording a sex tape in an old, abandoned mansion. It quickly becomes apparent that they are not alone and the adventure soon turns into a fight for survival.

Here in Cannes, Voltage will also screen "Fire With Fire," starring Josh Duhamel, Bruce Willis, Rosario Dawson and Vincent D'Onofrio, as well as "The Barrens," toplining Stephen Moyer, Mia Kirschner, Erik Knudsen and J. Larose.
