Voltage nabs sales rights to 'Deception'

Pic stars Cuba Gooding Jr.

Nicolas Chartier's Voltage Pictures has snagged international sales rights to Cuba Gooding Jr. actioner "Deception," which it will shop to buyers in Cannes this week.

Pic, which also stars Emmanuelle Vaugier, is directed by Brian Trenchard-Smith.

Kraig Wenman ("The Body Farm") pens the script while Kirk Shaw produces.

Story sees a widowed reporter team up with a federal agent to solve the mystery of her deceased husband's double life.

Voltage has already locked a raft of sales on its John Stockwell-directed drama "Code Name Geronimo," about the hunt for Osama bin Laden, including Studiocanal in the U.K., eOne in Canada and Falcom for German-speaking Europe.

Voltage is close to inking a deal with the Weinstein Co. for U.S. rights to "Geronimo."
