Keanu Reeves to star in indie drama

Keanu Reeves, Bojana Novakovic and Adelaide Clemens will star in indie drama "Generation Um..." with shooting starting Thursday in New York City.

Pic follows a day in the life of Reeves' character and his two cohorts as they live life on the fringe, immersed in sex, drugs and indecision. As they navigate their daily routine of bars and crowds, they embark on a path of self-discovery.

Pic's directed by Mark L. Mann ("Finishing Heaven") from his own script, with Alison Palmer producing for Company Films. Palmer developed the script with Mann and was recently co-exec producer on "Henry's Crime." Lemore Syvan ("Henry's Crime," "The Private Lives of Pippa Lee") and Caroline Kaplan ("Letters to Juliet") will also produce.

Jared Goldman ("Solitary Man") and Voltage Pictures chief Nicolas Chartier will exec produce.

Reeves stars in "Henry's Crime," which will world preem at the Toronto Film Festival, and recently appeared in "The Private Lives of Pippa Lee." Novakovic will be seen in "Devil." Voltage is also representing "The Whistleblower," starring Rachel Weisz.
